Statement
Since its invention in China on AD 105, paper has been the medium used to develop writing and graphic arts. In this exhibition, paper is not the base in which the ink or graphic builds the image displayed by the artist.
Josefina Temin doesn´t draw over paper, she draws with the paper, transforming it to createworks that evoke vegetable elements. Without the need for color, Temin reinvents nature, explores multiple forms, light and shadow values achieved by cuts, perforations, and reflects.
Her graphic creation comes from a bidimensional plane, the drawing takes body and volume, limited only by the empty space.
The quality of the material joins the artist sensibility, Obra Blanca, is originated from a deep reflection about forms and nature, conceding a proposal with a poetic and slender tone.
