Katherine H. Larrain

Katherine Hrdalo was born in Sewell, Chile on 1955.
She studied Licenced in Arts at the  Universidad de Chile (Santiago), and afterwards did studies in different studios with Don Miguel Venegas Cifuentes, Luis Rojas Quijada, Dinora Doutchitzky, Eugenio Dittborn, Osvaldo Thiers and Marcelo Gallardo. She actually lives in Puerto Montt.

She has done 14 individual exhibitions and 67 collective exhibitions.
Currently she devotes a 100% of her time to painting, doing research in materials and techniques, and she also teaches, since 1996, in different studios, drawing, human figure, painting and mixed techniques to children, youth and adults.
Presently she teaches drawing in Universidad Austral from Puerto Montt and in her particular studio.
She has won twice Fondart Projects of Creation: the year 2006 with the project “Bitácora Pictòrica de la Casa Negra” with the work “Grito de Tierra;” and the year 2007 with the project “Oxidaciones Urbanas; Pintura Experimental.”

The artist has paintings in personal collections in: Chile, Italy, France, Argentina, Canada, the United States and Paraguay.
