Jacob Kleyn

Biography:

Jacob Kleyn was born in 1952 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The Dutch artist just finished his drawing-project "Lost in Tears", in city of Almelo, in Holland.
Strongly affected with the poor and miserable conditions where he was placed for working and living, he made several new drawings of big format on paper and canvas. He used a mixture of mediums, mainly a very brown oil-based printing ink, which well matched with the mouldy walls of the condemned building.
Human figures are always part of his works. Their contours are simple, like stone-age engravings, but the result supports the emotional and psychological content extremely well.
