Gregory Stocks has been a professional artist for over a decade and has exhibited throughout the US and abroad. Well-known for his powerful landscape paintings, the images featured here represent the artist’s lifelong passion for drawing and study of the human form. As subject matter, the human figure is profoundly dynamic and varied, providing endless challenges and responses for both artist and viewer.

Of all media I have worked with, I find drawing to be the most direct, articulate and elegant means to interpret the figure--its diverse shape, proportion and capacity for emotional expression.
