Daniela Steinsapir

Daniela got Master of Fine Arts (2006) from San Francisco State University with an emphasis on Conceptual Information Art. A  B.A (2000) in Media Arts from IACC, Santiago, Chile, a diploma on Conceptual Multimedia Developer at the Institute of Higher Education in Lessons of Arts (1999), Paris, France. And she also studied Photography at the Fine Arts Museum of Santiago,(1998) Chile.

My artwork is inspired by the psychological impact that mass media - and mass production have on our society. Currently my work examines the interaction between society and technology in a media-saturated culture. I am especially interested to re-make those mass produced objects that seem no longer relevant to our society and transform them into new realities, changing our memories and our perceptions of them. My work engages them to reflect on our relationship with material and culture.
