My name is Carmela Slavutzky. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in September 21, 1976. I am 32 years old. I am daughter of Brazilian parents and I came to live in Brazil when I was two and a half years old. I live in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul since then. I make ceramics since June 2001. I began to have ceramics classes and slowly I became a plastic artist, a ceramist. The ceramic continued in my life.
I have a four years old daughter, called Carolina, whom I stimulate drawing, painting and modeling. Actually the ceramics is my hobby, my profession and my therapy!
Carmela is also part of Artnow's first published art book titled "The New Faces of Art". The only Brazilian artist and ceramist in the book.
