Royal Botanical Gardens Proudly Presents An Evening With John Grande
John Grande, world renowned Earth Art Curator, author and critic, will be the special guest and speaker at a sneak preview reception on Wednesday, May 21, 7 - 9pm at the RBG Centre. This sneak preview is the perfect introduction to the forthcoming Earth Art Exhibit being presented at Royal Botanical Gardens from July 18, to October 13, 2008. John will engage in conversation about the exploration and sublime aspects of connecting nature and art. He will also share spectacular images of earth art works that have been displayed globally.

Wendy Wagner Wins 2008 Hunting Art Prize
Hunting PLC announced that "I Hope I’m Dreaming" by Wendy Wagner is the winner of the $50,000 Hunting Art Prize for 2008. The piece was selected from over 100 final juried participants in the 28th annual award program, which is sponsored by the oil services company and is among the most generous in the country. The announcement came during an evening awards gala on Saturday, May 3, at the Decorative Center of Houston.

Christie's Annual Auction Of Irish Art In London May 08
Christie’s annual auction of Irish Art will take place in London on 8 May 2008. The sale will offer 168 lots representing Irish art from the 18th through to the 20th century. A broad selection of paintings will be offered from private collections, the majority of which have not been offered at auction for many years. The sale is expected to realise in excess of £3 million/ €4.5 million.
