Maria Pia Barberi has a multicultural background which has given a distinct style and richness to her artwork. Born in Peru , when she was only five her family moved to Spain where she lived more than ten years. Her rich traveling experience has had a great effect In her art. She returned to Peru and was greatly impressed by pre-Colombian art and techniques.
